As a disabled veteran, I became disillusioned with Western medicine’s quick-fix approach. My conditions were met with prescriptions for nearly everything—brain, pain, sleep, inflammation, cholesterol—plus more pills to manage the side effects. After seven surgeries, doctors were recommending three more. Most nights, I went to bed exhausted, in pain, covered in ice packs, and reliant on a handful of medications that offered little relief.
In 2019, I reached a breaking point. Determined to find another way, I turned to functional medicine and began reshaping my life through nutrition, movement, sleep, and wellness practices. The transition wasn’t easy, but within six months the results were undeniable: I was off all prescriptions, my sleep apnea had resolved, pain had decreased, I lost 15 pounds, and my energy returned.
That transformation not only restored my vitality, it renewed my sense of purpose and hope. Now, I’m committed to helping other men make the same shift, moving beyond symptom management toward true health, vitality, and longevity through a whole-body approach to wellness.
